As per latest reports, Julia Goerges has been defeated by Maria Sharapova in Australian Open’s third round match played in Melbourne. The 22-year-old, Julia Goerges started her career as a professional tennis player from 2005 by playing first tournament on ITF Circuit. Julia Goerges has been trained by Sascha Nensel. She played first WTA qualifying at Stuttgart in the year 2006. She achieved her first WTA singles title at the 2010 Gastein Ladies by beating Timea Bacsinszky with the score of 6–1, 6–4.
